Description
Most of us who have been in Lahaina know that one of the most important places to go is the Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant right on the shoreline. Lahaina was the original port for many of the early whaling ships whose day began in the early morning sunlight. The morning crew arrives at the restaurant at early dawn too. Here a young lady locks her bike to a pole and begins her day serving the guests. Here I used a dental assistant of mine to model for the waitress. The original painting was watercolor
