Description
Every Friday night after the high school games, we would cruise Broadway and then go to Yaw's for a Top Notch Burger and fries with gravy. This is a scene repeated across the country during the fifties and sixties, but here in Portland at Yaw's we had Tootsie Roll Bob, an off duty Portland patrolman who would greet the kids with a free Tootsie Roll. He kept order and the kids and parents loved him!
